A Siberian larch, when cut down, averages between 25 - 35 m. Its trunk is straight, cylindrical and measures between 15 – 20 m. Characteristics The Siberian larch is a coniferous tree boasting a comparatively high density (approximately 600 kg/m3 in dry condition) and great sturdiness. Lending itself for multiple use such as the construction and panelling of houses and the interiors of apartments, it is preferably used for frontdoors, windows and large exterior surfaces. Its exceptional sturdiness facilitates precision work such as the construction of windows or the sidewalls of winter gardens. |

With its characteristic qualities varying with its age and with its clearly visible pattern of annual rings, Siberian larch is exceptionally decorative and ideal for treatment with transparent as well as non-transparent varnishes. It is resistent to acid, fungus, insects, heat, frost, rain and decay and gives off a pleasant scent. Due to its warm colour, sturdiness and texture, Siberian larch can also be left untreated, which fully brings out its natural beauty. |
